Our family (me, my husband D, and our four-year-old Molly) started 2009 with a mostly-vegan, macrobiotic-inspired diet (although I have to admit, the strict macro rules have pretty much gone out the window). I have seen a marked improvement in my chronic migraines, and I'm enjoying proving that we can make amazing, mouth-watering, memorable food without animal products. For a more in-depth intro, click here.
I stopped updating this blog quite awhile back, when life got in the way. I'm still keeping a mostly vegan kitchen, though, and loving it. Have fun browsing my recipes!

Day 311: Six Word Saturday!
For an explanation of Six Word Saturday, click here:
And my Six Word Saturday is:
Is H1N1 one word or four?
Looks like our house has been invaded ... so far it's Molly and D. I'm exercising obsessively good hygeine, but feeling pretty pessimistic.
oh dear! I hope everyone gets back to health quickly. I recall being sick with my dad once and despite the sick part, it's a pretty good memory. We hung out in my folks' room and watched old tv shows.
I think it's impossible to stop the spread when it involves young kids no matter how diligent you are with cleaning...best to not wear yourself out chasing after then with cleaners wiping down every thing they touch and conserve your energy for when it its you.
I say it's one word. I also say you should hopefully not contract it. I'm fighting a sore throat today after having a sick boss in the office the 2nd half of the week. The paranoia is strong...
Poor you, hope it passs you by. I'm just recovering, and don't know where I picked it up from!! Spent yesterday either in bed or the bathroom - was there long enough to notice what looks like a crack in one of the floor tiles!!!! Reason enough to recover:) Take care

ReplyDeleteHere’s my opinion:
ReplyDeleteH1N1 is one word,
not four, as you’ve heard.
oh, I'm sooo sorry! hoping all feel better soon! I think its one word (LOL); at least that's what it looks like when I type it :)
ReplyDeletejust stopped by from 6-word Saturday to check out everyone's entries this week

Hi Becki...
ReplyDeleteYou're not kidding. One word for today's purposes, but other times? Do you have to spell out en-one-ayche-one? I'm so confused!
Greetings from Casa Hice in Jacksonville, Florida! Followed you over from Cate's blog to read your Six Word Saturday and am smitten! Love your blog!
Subscribing to follow you immediately!
Please stop by Casa Hice for a visit when you have time. Would love to get better acquainted!
Either way, grandson Nate has it.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
