At home, I enjoy my husband and daughter. At work, I just became the principal for the 7th-9th grades at a 7-12 charter school. Our family does its best to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle in an unhealthy world.
Our family (me, my husband D, and our four-year-old Molly) started 2009 with a mostly-vegan, macrobiotic-inspired diet (although I have to admit, the strict macro rules have pretty much gone out the window). I have seen a marked improvement in my chronic migraines, and I'm enjoying proving that we can make amazing, mouth-watering, memorable food without animal products. For a more in-depth intro, click here.
I stopped updating this blog quite awhile back, when life got in the way. I'm still keeping a mostly vegan kitchen, though, and loving it. Have fun browsing my recipes!

Day 204: How To Make Fruit Unappetizing
This is just a quick laugh for you all - I love finding stuff like this! So cringe-worthy:
I'd hate to see how much they charged if it were ACTUALLY fresh...
Cate - ha! Yeah, I agree that would probably be worse.
Deanna - thanks for stopping by!
Beth - I actually submitted it to The "Blog" of "Unnecesary" Quotation Marks, which I follow. I took the pic with them in mind, but couldn't help posting it here, too. I don't know if they'll post it or not, though, b/c they say they don't usually cross-post with other blogs.
Hi - Rad vegan site! I'm planning to feature it on a VegVine.com browser bar for vegetarians. We are a group of vegan volunteers connecting people with veg resources like yours. Our goal is a world with greater compassion. It seems like we share that. If you can squeeze it into your schedule I'd love to chat. It would only be worse if they were selling a fresh "fruit" cup.
ReplyDeleteYikes.
Funny!!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny! There's a blog called "The Blog of 'Unnecessary' Quotation Marks" or something like that.... This would be great for that!
ReplyDeleteAnd I know it's a meat and cheese brand, but Boar's Head is pretty gross too.
